Fidels
Fidel's is like a shrine to Cuba. Its walls are decorated in 1950s Cuba memorabilia, images, photos of Cuban street scenes and of Fidel Castro himself. With a colourful and cosy indoor space and two sunny outdoor areas, the café pulls a diverse crowd of Wellingtonians drawn to its bohemian vibe, "good, honest food", and strong Cuban coffee.
Fidel's stays open late, but it doesn't dress up for the evening - its casual vibe goes on into the night, as does its all-day menu. Patrons can choose from the wide range of pre-prepared cabinet food, or opt for something from the menu.
